The U-Prox wireless keypad is the direct local control for your alarm system — alongside the app a second way to arm and disarm the system. With built-in touch keypad, acoustic signalling and support for up to 4 separate security zones.
What the keypad can do
Three main functions: zone control (e.g. ground floor armed separately while upstairs stays disarmed — up to 4 zones per system), duress code (a modified PIN that seems to disarm the system normally but simultaneously sends a silent alarm to the monitoring centre — for coercion situations), acoustic delay indication (you hear the entry/exit delay).
Operating comfort
Touch keypad with backlighting — works even in the dark. The user can change the code independently at any time directly at the keypad (no admin intervention needed). Housing with tamper protection — manipulation attempts trigger an immediate alarm.
Where the keypad should go
Standard placement: at the entrance area (for comfortable arming/disarming when leaving/entering). Optionally additional keypads in sleeping area, basement entrance or other house entrances. Connection is completely wireless — no cables to the keypad needed.
