Reolink Altas B660 — battery camera with continuous recording
The B660 (B660(EU)-R2) is a technical highlight: a battery camera that records continuously 24/7 — battery cameras long couldn’t do that. This is made possible by a huge 20,000 mAh battery plus solar support. Plus 4K resolution, 360° pan/tilt function, Wi-Fi 6 and ColorX night vision (colour image in near darkness without additional light). The premier class among battery cameras.
Reolink TrackMix B770 and E331
The B770 (B770+SP2(EU)-R2, incl. solar panel 2) is the battery variant of the TrackMix series: 4K PTZ camera with dual lens and auto-tracking — wide angle for overview, telephoto for automatic zooming and tracking. Completely wireless thanks to included solar panel. The E331 (E331(EU)-R2) is a compact, low-cost pan/tilt camera for simpler needs — good as a supplement or for indoor use.
What battery cameras deliver — and what not
Battery cameras are ideal for places without power, for rented properties and for fast, clean mounting. The current generation (B660) even manages continuous recording. But: with very many triggers per day or in permanent live operation the battery life drops significantly — then solar is virtually mandatory. In deepest winter with little sun, solar can reach its limit. For absolutely reliable round-the-clock recording without any restriction, PoE remains the first choice.
