Thermal cameras detect what conventional cameras cannot see

Thermal cameras measure temperature instead of light. They detect people in total darkness, through fog and smoke, and trigger alerts on unusual hot spots – long before a fire becomes visible. The Hikvision Thermal series delivers both in one device.

Perimeter protection in fog and darkness

A thermal camera sees every person – whether crouching, hiding in bushes or in zero-lux conditions. Hikvision bi-spectral models combine thermal and optical imaging. You get thermal alarm and optical evidence in one stream.

Fire early detection instead of damage control

As soon as a component exceeds normal temperature, the thermal camera triggers an alarm. Applications: photovoltaic systems, lithium battery storage, landfills, timber yards, composting plants, workshops and transformer stations.

Combined with EN54 fire alarm systems

We combine the thermal camera with an EN54-compliant fire alarm system. This means a detected hot spot is not just documented – it triggers an immediate alarm chain, including connection to the emergency monitoring centre.

Where thermal makes the difference

PV & Storage

Photovoltaic systems & battery storage

Overheating modules or faulty cells are detected early – before a fire develops.

Recycling & Waste

Waste handling, composting, recycling yards

Spontaneous combustion in waste piles is detected within minutes rather than hours.

Timber & Sawmill

Storage, drying, processing

Hot spots in timber stacks or on machinery are reliably detected.

Perimeter

Industrial sites, critical infrastructure, storage

People are reliably detected even in complete darkness or fog.
