Where Hikvision relies on image analysis, Axis combines radar and camera. The result: detection up to 60 m, even through light vegetation, in any weather and with measurable position and speed of every object.
AXIS Radar – sees what cameras cannot see
AXIS Radar detects objects with radar waves – independent of lighting conditions, through rain, snow and fog. Unlike image analysis, radar measures exact position and direction of motion. This allows defining clear protection zones that cannot be fooled by shadows or changes in lighting.
Radar plus camera as fusion
The radar triggers, the camera automatically pans to the position and delivers the visual image for verification and evidence. This creates a system that both alarms reliably and provides the court-admissible evidence at the same time.
