Ajax’s own IP cameras — privacy-friendly, seamlessly integrated with the alarm system.
Since 2024 Ajax has been building its own IP cameras: TurretCam, BulletCam and DomeCam Mini — wired, AI-powered, with uncompromising data protection. The decisive advantage over Hikvision or Dahua: the cameras run in the same app as your Ajax alarm system. An alarm from a motion detector automatically opens the live image of the associated camera. Storage is in the EU. No default passwords — the cameras use passwordless mTLS authentication.
What the Ajax cameras can do
Resolutions from 5 MP (3K) to 8 MP (4K), 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lenses, new HL models (hybrid light) also deliver colour images at night by switching between infrared and white light. IR illumination range up to 50 m. Built-in accelerometer detects tampering. AI object recognition directly in the camera distinguishes people, vehicles and animals — no cloud uploads, no servers needed.
Privacy by design — finally also for cameras
Three things make Ajax cameras different: passwordless authentication (mTLS certificates instead of default admin passwords, no backdoors), EU data storage (everything stays in European data centres), NDAA compliance (no components from manufacturers considered a security risk by the US government). You can completely hide privacy zones from live image and recording.

Ajax NVR and third-party integration
Recording runs either locally on SD card (up to 256 GB) or centrally on the Ajax NVR (network video recorder, up to 16 TB hard drive). The NVR is compatible with almost all IP cameras via ONVIF and RTSP — so you can also connect your existing Hikvision or Axis cameras. For large installations also direct integration into third-party VMS like Milestone XProtect.
