In 2024 Ajax launched the EN54 Line — the first fully wireless, EN54-certified fire alarm system for commercial and municipal applications. Completely radio-based, certified as a system under EN54-13, installed in hours. For residential buildings and private clients there’s additionally the Residence Line with FireProtect 2 — smoke, heat and CO detectors with up to 10 years battery life.
EN54 Line — the commercial fire alarm system
At the centre is the EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller: a control and indicating equipment (CIE) panel with 10.1″ touchscreen, four parallel communication paths (Ethernet, WiFi, 2× SIM) and backup power for 24 or 72 hours. Up to 200 addressable devices and 40 fire zones per hub. Alarm transmission to the monitoring centre in under 3 seconds — EN54-21 requires 10 seconds. Expandable with Fire ReX wireless range extenders to coverage of up to 35 km².
Patented sensors — HazeFlow 2 against false alarms
The EN54 FireProtect Jeweller detectors have a patented smoke chamber with a dual-spectrum optical sensor (blue + infrared LED) and two thermistors. The HazeFlow 2 algorithm reliably distinguishes smoke from water vapour — no false alarm when showering, cooking or during construction work. Versions available as pure detector, with built-in 100 dB sounder, with visual alerting (VAD) or as combined sounder/VAD. Plus: ManualCallPoint as manual fire alarm, I/O module for connecting wired third-party devices (beam detectors, elevator control, HVAC, door release).

Residence Line — FireProtect 2 for private clients
For homes, apartments, holiday houses and small practices we install the FireProtect 2 series: combined smoke and heat detectors, optionally with additional CO sensor. Versions with sealed battery (10 years life) or replaceable battery (5 years). Built-in 85 dB sounder, networking of all detectors in the house via radio — all alarm in sync. With hub also app notification and optional connection to the monitoring centre.

The decisive point: the EN54 Fire Hub can simultaneously handle EN50131 Grade 2 intrusion technology, video surveillance and smart-home automation. One hub, one app, one maintenance.
